兄弟象將轉賣，陳致遠日前錄三立《國光幫幫忙》說很不捨：「我在兄弟象打了９年，那時就聽老闆說經營困難，但是看到新聞還是很驚訝。」他2010年捲入假球案，坦言打擊很大，「現在還在上訴，相信司法會還我清白」。

他曾有「黃金戰士」美譽，因假球案被諷為「黑金戰士」，就此結束職棒生涯，他不敢再想回職棒，「我快40歲了，回去不太可能了」，他因擔心影響官司判決，對假球案語多保留，但對球隊仍有深厚情感，現在教小朋友打球，和退役的球隊學長交流球技，但和現役的球員已斷了連絡。他和老婆秀琴年底將在花博園區開店，專賣原住民食物。
