伊斯蘭國（IS）2日上傳影片，顯示已斬首31歲的美國記者薩特洛夫（Steven Sotloff）。他被殺害的場景和佛里相仿，一樣穿著橘色囚衣，負責處決的IS劊子手也蒙面。劊子手說：「歐巴馬我回來了，因為你傲慢的外交政策，所以我又回來了。」

劊子手在影片中揚言要殺害手上的英國人質，英國首相卡麥隆表示，斬首影片「令人作嘔」。
