雖然 Android 和 iOS 版 BlackBerry Messenger 第一個正式上架版本僅支援手機，但仍在 24 小時內就獲得一千萬人次下載量。現在他們要繼續開疆闢土，剛剛釋出的最新版本將正式支援 iOS 6 以上版本的 iPad 和 iPod 裝置。此外新版軟體也修正一些小問題，包括在 Android 上異常耗電和 iOS 上聯絡人名字消失等問題。

此外這次更新也同時讓你更容易找到使用 BBM 的好友，提供更多分享 BBM 用戶 PIN 碼的方式。此外，Android 版本還獲得群組清單排序和過濾搜尋功能；iOS 版本則改善由右至左語系的顯示效果。現在就可以點擊下面的來源連結獲得新版軟體。
