波士頓塞爾提克本季大刀闊斧，徹底拆散「三巨頭」，戰績竟然「不如預期」，9日綠衫軍以114：73大破紐約尼克，讓主場應戰的橘子軍賽後個個面色鐵青。

塞爾提克開局三分砲火兇猛，連飆5記外線，25：3攻勢將此役定調，之後3節尼克也看不見絲毫反攻氣勢，以誇張的41分差距敗北。

塞爾提克後衛Jordan Crawford飆進6記三分球，攻下全場最高23分，前鋒Jared Sullinger得到21分，全隊三分球25投14中，命中率56%，徹底轟垮尼克。

「能在這個場館以這種方式贏球相當有趣，因為我也曾經慘敗過幾次，能夠在分組內贏得勝利真是太棒了。」Crawford說。

綠衫軍場上狂轟濫炸，塞爾提克總教練Brad Stevens則是看到更深層的一面，他表示：「最重要的事情就是，下半場我們沒有放鬆，持續保持積極態度，那不是甚麼容易的事。」

尼克全隊打得乏善可陳，團隊命中率只有34.2%，籃板也輸了20個，3名先發Andrea Bargnani、Raymond Felton、Iman Shumpert加起來竟然只得2分。

「我沒能讓大家做好事情，是我的責任。」尼克總教練Mike Woodson賽後自責地說。

此役過後，塞爾提克以10勝12敗續坐東區大西洋組龍頭，輸球的尼克5勝14敗，再度成為該組「爐主」。
