整修近三年 華盛頓紀念碑下月中重新開放

經過將近三年整修，美國首都的華盛頓紀念碑將在下個月12號重新開放。

華盛頓紀念碑是美國首都地標，它是為了紀念美國國父喬治華盛頓而建，是一座大理石的尖碑，建築高169公尺，是全球最高的石造建築，尖碑的內部是中空的，裡面有可供步行的鐵梯，也有七十秒登頂的高速電梯。

華盛頓紀念碑在2011年的一次地震中受損。歷經將近三年整修，它將在五月12號重新開門迎客，每天早上八點半開放參觀，遊客可以現場索取免費入場券，也可以付少許費用，在網路上下載票券，這樣可以免除現場排隊的麻煩。
