英籲香港當局：保障人民抗議的權利

英國外交部29日表示，英國關切香港的局勢，香港正面臨1997年回歸以來的最劇烈動盪，並呼籲香港當局保障民眾抗議的權利。

英國外交部聲明說：「英國是中英聯合公報的簽署國，英國的長期立場是，香港人的基本權利和自由支持香港的繁榮和安全，包括示威的權利。」

聲明說：「香港維持這些權利，人民能合法行使這些權利，對香港很重要。」
