日本天后濱崎步10月１日推出第52張新單曲〈Terminal〉，公信榜首周成績竟掉到24名，首批銷量僅3000張，是出道以來最差成績，震驚業界，難以相信過去單曲、專輯輕易破百萬張、2001年還創日本首位連兩年唱片總銷售額破200億日幣（58億台幣）紀錄，居然掉到20名外。

日媒報導，除了大環境實體CD難賣問題外，她過去發片常設計多款封面、各種特典的華麗行銷包裝都不見了，這次只發１種封面、也沒附DVD等特典，明顯宣傳預算縮水不少。

據悉，近年來她與愛貝克思幹部衝突不斷，互相多有不滿，她唱片銷售下滑出現赤字卻仍要天后排場，怪公司宣傳太弱才賣不好；加上她愛昏頭長居美國，去年底與小10歲洋男友結婚，工作態度大不如前，令公司實在難再把她當寶，這次新單曲才以最陽春宣傳包裝，讓她好好面對現況。
