法新社報導，美國總統歐巴馬將在美東時間24日下午1時30分（台灣時間25日凌晨1時30分），於白宮與目前已痊癒的染伊護士范妮娜會面。

越南裔的范妮娜是因為照顧美國本土第一例確診伊波拉病例、賴比瑞亞籍男子鄧肯而感染，美國國家衛生研究院24日宣布范妮娜已痊癒出院。
