近5年 薩爾瓦多經濟成長低迷

根據經濟暨社會發展基金（FUSADES）所作的統計，在過去5年中（2009至2013年）, 薩爾瓦多的經濟平均年成長只有0.8%，是有史以來最低的。

FUSADES在一份報告中指出，1992年薩爾瓦多內戰結束簽訂和平協定的那一年，經濟成長約7.5%，是最高紀錄，而2008年金融危機，薩國國民生產毛額下滑了3.5%，是經濟表現最差的一年。

這份2014年首季經濟報告中顯示，薩爾瓦多從2004年起，年經濟成長率即己在拉丁美洲居末段班，且已經4年的外資流入金額在中美洲各國中敬陪末座。

但在報告中，今年首季，有31%的受訪企業表示，他們的銷售額有見成長。
