「白蛇傳」裡的白蛇是在端午飲了雄黃酒而現出原形，今天(6月2日)端午節，屏東縣消防局很應景，一早就逮到一隻重達百公斤的大蟒蛇，八名消防隊員小心翼翼的將大蛇抬回隊部暫時安置，大蟒蛇還在途中產下了十幾顆蛋，可能是為了保護產下的蛋，大蟒蛇不時嘶嘶發出警告，試圖攻擊消防人員。

消防隊認為大蟒蛇可能是有人飼養的，暫時放在隊部鐵籠內等待認領。
