如果兩隻看不順眼，請立刻將兩隻鬥魚分開，不然會發生甚麼事，你可是不知道的喔！可能會兩敗俱傷抑或是最後通常都是母魚死亡~如果放置達3天以上，兩隻尚未交配成功，就要分開了！！！像是泡巢消失，公魚仍追著母魚打，母魚只懂得躲，最後身體受傷，只敢躲在角落，發生這種情況就要分開了，並將母魚分開放置靜養~在她傷未好之前，是不可以將她再和公魚放在一起的！若是你真的想替鬥魚們交配，請選擇新的母魚！選擇時要注意，應選擇公魚大，母魚小，但兩者體型卻不能差太多，母魚要有抱卵，且性格不能比公魚兇！公魚要有吐泡！再放置在較大的空間，要是塞在小玻璃瓶...你就等著失敗或收屍了...
