繼猴子後 伊朗要送貓上太空

伊朗繼1月底宣稱成功送猴子上太空進行實驗後，據官方媒體16日報導，現今該國準備將一隻波斯貓送上太空，朝2018年前展開首次載人太空飛行之路邁進。

7個多月前，伊朗宣稱成功將載有猴子的太空艙發射升空，並安全返航，猴子也平安存活。但公布的照片引發質疑，發射前和返回地球的猴子非同一隻。對此，伊朗太空機構官員艾布拉希米澄清，那是媒體弄錯猴子照片。

伊朗打算再進行動物太空實驗。艾布拉希米表示，測試過多種動物後，最屬意的動物是波斯貓。艾布拉希米表示，下次太空艙將在明年3月21日前升空，且將使用較大的液態燃料火箭。伊朗以前的測試使用固態燃料火箭，其相關科技可用於長程飛彈。

波斯貓原產於波斯（即伊朗古稱），備受愛貓者青睞，伊朗要送波斯貓上太空，立即引發動物權團體「善待動物」組織（PETA）反彈。組織發言人威廉森說，伊朗的實驗根本是「開倒車」，回到1950年代原始做法。

他說：「歐美太空單位早已停送動物上太空，不只因為不道德，也因為拿動物來模擬人類體驗的效果並不佳。」
