微軟衝刺8吋平板 4品牌力挺

微軟Windows 8.1本月中旬上市，除了新款NB大軍醞釀出擊，微軟力推的8吋平板，陣容將更堅強，除最早推出的宏碁之外，東芝、戴爾、聯想也入陣，而且微軟將增強補貼力道，讓小尺寸Win8.1授權費最低僅要15美元，盼殺出血路。

隨著Windows 8.1即將上線，品牌廠也會配合造勢灑出新機，其中在8吋部分，宏碁將推出Iconia W4，處理器升級為英特爾最新Bay Trail架構的Atom Z3740，由仁寶代工。另外，戴爾旗下Venue產品線也會發表一款8吋平板，採用英特爾Bay Trail處理器，代工廠為和碩。

另外聯想的Miix 8則是以搭配手寫觸控筆作為號召，TOSHIBA的8吋Win8.1平板代號為Encore，預計11月初上市。

微軟未能把握小尺寸平板商機，因此在今年COMPUTEX時就已轉向，力邀品牌夥伴推出10吋以下的Win8平板，除內建Office 2013家用版產品，當時也要求夥伴8吋機種的入門價必須低於299美元，盼以低於蘋果iPad Mini的價格策略，吸引消費者目光。

宏碁6月推出全球首款8吋Win8平板W3，當時定價329美元，但目前已下滑至280~299美元，由於微軟及英特爾都給予補貼，預期下半年8吋新機的價格有機會低於299美元。
