【時報-駐美記者胡文豐報導】摩根大通證券：由於擔心美國債務上限危機引發違約，過去兩周投資人出售了大量美國政府發行的短期債券。紐約聯邦儲備銀行的數據顯示，過去兩周，其統計的機構已將所持美國短期國債持倉量削減了一半以上；與此同時，美國政府短期借債成本飆升，1個月期美國國債收益率創下2008年以來最高水平。

摩根大通貨幣基金已將債務上限前到期的美國短期國債全部拋售。儘管認為美國政府違約的可能性較低，但為保障投資者利益，已採取某些預防措施。截至10月9日，該基金未持有任何在2013年10月16日至2013年11月6日間到期或計劃支付票息的美國財政部發行證券。
