歐巴馬：兩黨應三方面合作

美國總統歐巴馬十九日發表周末例行視訊談話指出，美國國會必須停止在一次又一次的危機中不斷躊躇，應該共同致力於創造就業，並做好份內的工作。他提議兩黨應在預算案、移民改革及農村法案三方面積極合作。

歐巴馬表示，國會對於政府重新開張及免於倒債，沒什麼好驕傲的。他說：「值此經濟需要更強的成長及更多就業機會之際，過去幾周來（國會）所製造的危機，的確已對就業及成長造成傷害。」

歐巴馬表示：「可以理解大家對華府的挫折感已經達到空前的頂點。」

他指出，雙方可以研擬出一套能夠促進經濟成長及強化財政責任的預算；完成移民改革，使數百萬沒有取得身分的外國人走出地下經濟，並正常繳稅；通過一項農業法案，來協助農村社會的發展。

針對移民改革，歐巴馬強調，參議院已經通過法案，為這些人提供一條成為美國公民的方法；他呼籲眾議院也能通過此案，且應在年底之前完成。
