教廷調查教徒對節育和離婚與同性婚姻的看法

天主教廷採取了一項相當反常的行動，它針對節育、離婚以及同志婚姻等過去它期期以為不可的行為，對全球教友展開意見調查，這有可能是為方濟各教宗將在明年召開的家庭會議，探尋民意。

教廷在十月中對全球教區發出通知，要求它們針對相關議題，展開盡可能詳實的民意探尋，這顯示當今教宗宣誓調整目前所謂的以梵蒂岡為中心的信仰指導，並非說說而已。

方濟各教宗曾說，教會應該在教導年輕人認識婚姻上，加倍努力，他認為現在的年輕人，似乎愈來愈不認同婚姻是一輩子的承諾，方濟各教宗也認為羅馬天主教對婚姻的傳統信仰，有些也已經過時，有修正的必要，他明白表示，他支持傳統婚姻，也反對墮胎，但是認為神職人員在看待不同於傳統價值的議題、比方說墮胎、同志婚姻以及節育等，應該多一點慈悲，少一些我執。
