冰島火山警戒 降為第二級橙色

冰島偵測到其境內最大的巴達邦加火山出現小規模爆發後，廿三日將警戒程度調整為最高級的紅色，同時關閉部分領空，禁止附近一切空中交通；但廿四日冰島當局將警戒程度由紅色降為第二級的橙色。

冰島氣象局強調，並無跡象顯示此次的地震活動已經趨緩，而且「不排除火山爆發的可能性」。巴達邦加火山周圍地區廿四日清晨出現兩次各為芮氏規模五點三與五點○的地震。這也是一九九六年以來，該地區出現的最大地震。

冰島政府稍早關閉巴達邦加火山上空的空中交通，但冰島所有機場仍然開放。冰島氣象局說，一個科學家組成的團隊已前往火山地區，監測地震活動。冰島火山爆發預警系統分成五級，紅色警戒是最高等級。

冰島當局本周稍早疏散巴達邦加火山附近地區的遊客與遠足人群，以策安全。歐洲空中交通安全機構也提高警戒級別，並表示將每隔6小時發佈一次更新的火山煙塵預報。冰島的艾雅法拉火山四年前大規模爆發，噴發的火山灰瀰漫歐洲各地，影響全球的空中交通。
