首爾等旅遊場所非常冷清

載有476人的南韓歲月號客輪，在全羅南道珍島郡海域發生沉船事故之後，南韓全國為失蹤者祈禱，而且平時一些旅遊休閒場所，也顯得非常冷清。在當天的星期假日，包括首爾明洞、清溪川和南山塔等地、看不見平時密集的人潮。此外，一些學校，因為受到此一海上事件的衝擊，也取消了畢業旅行。還有一些團體，計畫近日舉行的文化等種種慶祝活動，也大都取消，為遇難者哀悼，為失蹤學生們祈禱，期盼能有奇蹟出現。此外，失蹤者家屬代表團，原計劃當天繼續試圖前往青瓦台，而後來家屬代表團方面，要求國務總理鄭烘原出面解決代表團訪問青瓦台一事，鄭烘原則與代表團進行面談，由此目前家屬方面，暫時撤回，並到珍島室內體育館等候消息。
